Keep advocating for the arts in Kansas!

Kansas residents have been advocating for the arts for years, and even more so now in the last several months as the Kansas Arts Commission came under the governor’s chopping block. With victories in the legislature and set-backs as the governor line-item vetoed any funding for the KAC and summarily fired its entire staff, it’s time for yet more advocacy. There are many resources to help guide one through this process, such as:

Mid-America Arts Alliance, whose 5-step advocacy page can be found here

Kansas Citizens for the Arts, who can be found here and also more actively on Facebook

KAEA (Kansas Arts Education Association), whose advocacy page list many useful links
